The problem of dry skin on the face must be addressed immediately. That way, the skin will become more moist, clean, and beautifully maintained.
How To Use Face Mask for Dry Skin
People with dry skin need more hydration because dry skin is also said to be fragile skin. This will make the skin feel tight and uncomfortable.
Therefore, owners of dry skin need a face mask for dry skin that can moisturise and nourish facial skin so that it returns to its beautiful and normal state.
Using a face mask to treat dry skin problems cannot be done carelessly. It could be worsening the condition of your facial skin.
Well, here is how to use the right mask for those of you who have dry skin problems.
1. Pay attention to the ingredient of the mask
Good face masks for dry skin include aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, chamomile, vitamin E, rose, honey, oats, or calendula. These various ingredients can hydrate the skin and make your skin calmer.
It can also contain superfoods such as blueberries, chia seeds, and pomegranates, which contain many antioxidants.
Avoid ingredients such as lemon, tea tree, green tea, and charcoal. These ingredients will make your skin dry.
2. Don’t Use Clay Mask
When you have dry skin problems accompanied by acne, it's a good idea to avoid using clay masks. Clay masks do have a good function, namely to remove dead skin cells and absorb oil on the face so that it feels more matte.
But if you have dry skin, using a clay mask can make your facial skin more uncomfortable.
For dry skin problems, you should choose a gentle wash-off mask. Use one that doesn't stick to the skin and isn't difficult to clean.
When cleaning the wash-off mask, you can use plain cold water. Also, avoid using warm water. It can make your facial skin drier.
3. Use Sheet Masks for Facial Treatment
For those of you who have dry facial skin, try using a sheet mask for your facial treatments. Sheet masks can hydrate the skin instantly and make the skin more beautiful and healthy.
Sheet masks usually contain Hyaluronic acid, which can maintain the skin's water content. It can make the skin moist and supple.
You can use a sheet mask for dry skin care 3 times a week. You can also use this mask every day to get rid of dull and rough skin.
4. Avoid Using Face Mask For Too Long
You need to know, using a mask for dry skin for too long will not give effective results. After using a mask, you have to rinse it off. If you use this mask for too long, your skin's moisture can be absorbed and the skin becomes drier.
Whatever type of beauty mask you use, whether it is made from natural ingredients or other products, then you must use it in the right way.
You just need to use the mask for 10-15 minutes according to the recommendations on the package. After that, you can rinse the mask thoroughly.
5. Don’t forget to use moisturiser
After using the mask, there is still another skincare routine that you need to use. These include the use of hydrating toners, essences, serums, and the use of moisturisers. Using the correct set of masks makes your facial skin more moisturised.
